Biography

For 20 years, Luis Bartolomei has been committed to helping clients who have been seriously injured by careless drivers, dangerous products, negligent employers, and reckless companies. During that time, Luis has been lead counsel in over 60 jury trials throughout Texas. This commitment has earned him a reputation as one of the best trial attorneys in the state.

Luis has a unique cultural and educational background, which has made him successful in large cities, small towns, and many counties, both liberal and conservative, throughout the state. He has represented thousands of clients, generated millions of dollars in settlements, and been consulted by news agencies for his expertise in products liability and personal injury matters. In addition to his primary personal injury practice, Luis has also handled cases involving commercial litigation, insurance bad faith, legal malpractice, and immigration.

Luis, who speaks Spanish fluently, was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. In 1996, he received his law degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and was licensed to practice in Texas that same year. Luis began his legal career with Reyes and Associates in Dallas and later became a partner in that firm, which became known as Reyes Bartolomei Browne.

In 2010-2016, Luis was nominated by his peers and selected to the Texas Super Lawyers list, an annual recognition designed to identify the top Texas attorneys in multiple practice areas based on a statewide survey of attorneys, independent research, and candidate evaluation.

Luis is a current member and former director of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice, the Dallas Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He has spoken at numerous legal conferences on subjects ranging from trial techniques to marketing strategies. Luis has also donated his time to provide pro bono counseling at legal clinics in South Dallas, and he enjoys every opportunity to speak at local schools in an ongoing effort to positively impact the lives of children.
